Winds have died down to a minimal.
No flurries rush from above.
A sunny, blue sky consoles New Jersey.
Sparkly snow crystals reflect and blind.
Who would have thought we'd find the pretty in the nasty?
Salt trucks clatter down the streets.
Days, they've worked tirelessly to help keep motorists safe.
As best as possible.
Shovels scrape and toss.
But where to with all the snow?
Snow plows push a 1/2 foot of snow aside, making mini snow mountains.
Good Luck pedestrians!
Must be athletic and acrobatic to climb these snowed-walls!
The roads are clearer.
Sidewalks get ignored for the most part.
Strap your ice skates on, your cross country skies......
then you'll master the snowy/icy walk to wherever you must go.
Because if you go out in this-------it is a must!
Who else would subject themselves to such raw arctic abuse?
Next week the snowy lot will evaporate/thaw.
Before that a melt and re-freeze pattern.
Till then, we live in an ice castle.
Breath-taking, ice-bound beauty, that Winter can be.
