Not as cold.
Monday night this turns to snow
We are told.
For now, temps are milder.
Weather this Season is wilder.
Than ever before.
Spring-like warmth one day,
another you're frozen to the core.
What to wear?
How to tame cold static hair?
Today, I swap my snow boots for rain boots.
Put on a nice pants suit.
Without thermals underneath.
As I pass my neighbors door, I notice her Christmas wreath.
Still hanging there.
As if the joyous Season is in the air.
I exit the building; pop up my umbrella.
Writing an encouraging Novella.
Of change, of moving forward, of recognizing
what needs to be altered.
Enemies having faltered.
In their attempt to discredit and malign.
I smile big, step in confidence, and wave a Peace sign.
