Ribbons and glitter, in my hair
Togetherness, love and peace we share
Thankfulness, big smiles and joy we wear

From yesteryears memories I borrow
Missing you, yanked in an undertow

Be merry, things are bright, that's the plan
Go through the motions, out with the cam
Tears begin to sprout, a deep inhale, damn
When what do I see, hello old friend
Voilá! This heartache I quickly transcend
Surprise! Your perfect timing, I commend
I feel my insides start to unbend
Already, you and I are knitting words
You're surely one of my favorite birds
Smart, stock up, before the snowstorm occurs
Friday's forecast, those icy saboteurs
Falling into the picture perfect moment
Could you be someone's spirit, divinely sent?
Yes, best-gift-ever, what a blessed event
A part of me joins you on your grand ascent
