Gazing at the slow fading night
Waiting for blessed morning light
Darkness bleeds into a new day
The first warm, hope-filled tender ray
Appears at the horizon's ledge
Dawn, establishing a pledge
A new beginning, a chance
This gift, for another dance
The early birds bringing their rhyme
Twittering and singing sublime
A concert, where hearts start to climb
As time inches on, it grows bright
Landscapes and vistas are a sight!
Emerging with beautiful might
Dawn's reassuring embrace
The soul does an about-face
From what yesterday dared to take
The cobwebs, off we shake!
Onward inspiration charges!
Into the morning hope marches!
