My tears blur the world around me
Why did I breathe life into that thought?
The iron tang taste of regret has lingered
Fills my mouth, like blood, each time I speak
The past tags me at random
Playing a cruel game of remember
I hide as it stealthily hunts
Seeking to pull me under
Because you were the echo in my thunder
Could the stars ever have rewrote our story, I wonder
